Boulders Beach Penguin Colony “Where Penguins Rule”

The HITDC Trade Mission delegation took a trip to Boulders Beach, located on the Cape Peninsula in Simon’s Town, a suburb of Cape Town, where hundreds of penguins flocked, huddled and just plain hung out on the beach for all to watch and see. The South African Penguin colony is the only place in the world where you can get close to African Penguins, take photos and watch and listen. Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. It was amazing to see these beautiful Penguins and to take some incredible photos and memories that will last a lifetime. While it was seriously raining sheets, wickedly windy and quite cool, the trip to where Penguins Rule and the breathtaking views of immense boulders, part of Table Mountain National Park, will be a trip takeaway to remember.
