T.H. Juan B. Sosa Elected Dean of the Consular Corps of Houston

Ambassador Juan B. Sosa, Consul General of Panama in Houston, was announced during the Consular Corps of Houston luncheon on Feb. 7th as the new Dean, replacing Sultan A. Al Angari, Consul General of Saudi Arabia. The Honorable Sultan A. Al Angan will be traveling to South Africa as Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador. The consulate general of Indonesia graciously hosted the event. The Consular Corps of Houston recognized the Consul General of Saudi Arabia and departing Dean, Sultan Al Angari, for his dedication and support, as well as that of his able assistant Hala Abdulwahed. The meeting was designed to have an open discussion among consuls related to their role in Houston’s community and in the state of Texas and their relationship with public and private organizations of the region. We look forward to continuing work with Consul General Sosa and the helpful staff of the consulate of Panama.
