World Chamber of Commerce (WCC) Hosts Global Heroes Award
On October 15, 2021, the World Chamber of Commerce President, Solange Warner hosted dignitaries, elected officials from the State of Georgia, and celebrities who all converged on the Georgia State Capitol in support of the WCC Global Heroes Awards honoring outstanding leaders. For over a decade, the WCC continues to foster business, cultural and humanitarian initiatives. The purpose of this WCC event was to honor heroes in the community and recognize their extraordinary efforts to promote business and humanitarians. Some of the honorees included former U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young, Ambassador Gandy Thomas, Lou Gossett, Jr., and State Senator Donzella James, who was presented with a picture drawn of her in her honor.
Performances from Maestro Juan Ramirez, Atlanta Symphony, David D. Ramirez, and Sindy Gutierrez headlined the agenda. State Senator Donzella James spoke at the event. A moment of silence was observed for the late U.S. Congressman John Lewis.
